What we offer
At Ladybird Montessori School, we accept children from their second birthday. We offer a rich and balanced early years education that nurtures every aspect of a child’s development. Through the Montessori approach, children enjoy hands-on learning in mathematics, language, science, and cultural studies, alongside creative experiences in art, music, drama, and movement. We also provide outdoor learning through our secure garden and private Forest School, helping children build confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

Partnership with Parents
The staff maintain a very close partnership with parents which helps to ensure that children are ready to take that all important step to their next school.
Children take their work home with photos on a regular basis. Parents are given helpful information daily about their child’s progress. There are parent interviews at least once a term to discuss general matters with the child’s key teacher.
We always appreciate parents' feedback. They are welcome to arrange an appointment with the Principal or Head whenever there is any concern about the child’s growth or development. Equally, the school may bring any issues that occur with the child to the parents’ attention. A newsletter is e-mailed to parents twice a term or whenever necessary. We also update parents through Tapestry.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, independence, and a love of learning through the Montessori approach. Children explore key areas such as mathematics, language, science, and cultural studies through hands-on activities tailored to their individual stage of development. Alongside academic learning, we encourage creativity, problem-solving, and social skills through art, music, movement, and purposeful play.

Outdoor Exploration
Outdoor play is an important part of life at Ladybird Montessori School. Children enjoy daily access to our secure garden and private on-site Forest School, where they can explore nature, stay active, build confidence, and develop important social and problem-solving skills through play and adventure.
