Our Space
At Ladybird Montessori School, we provide a warm, inspiring, and carefully prepared environment where children can learn, explore, and thrive. Our bright and spacious classroom encourages independence, creativity, and hands-on learning through the Montessori approach, while our secure garden offers daily opportunities for outdoor play, nature study, and physical development. We are also proud to have our own private on-site Forest School, a safe and enclosed woodland space where children build confidence, resilience, and a love of the natural world through exciting outdoor adventures and child-led exploration.
Forest
At Ladybird Montessori School, our Forest School offers children the opportunity to learn, explore, and grow through hands-on experiences in our own private on-site forest area, which is fully enclosed to provide a safe and secure environment.
Taking place outdoors in all weathers, Forest School encourages confidence, independence, resilience, teamwork, and a deep respect for nature. Through activities such as den building, bug hunting, shelter making, and creative child-led exploration, children develop important social, physical, and problem-solving skills while enjoying the freedom of learning in the natural environment.
Garden
At Ladybird Montessori School, we are proud to offer a secure, spacious, and well-maintained garden where outdoor learning plays an important role in our curriculum alongside our Forest School.
We believe time spent in the fresh air supports children’s physical and emotional well-being, creating a calm and positive environment for learning. Children enjoy activities such as gardening, science, arts and crafts, reading, games, and exploring nature, while also building friendships, developing creativity, and learning to solve problems.
Classroom
Our bright, spacious, and carefully prepared classroom provides a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, confident, and inspired to learn.
Designed to support the Montessori approach, the space is organised into engaging learning areas that encourage independence, curiosity, and hands-on exploration. Children have access to a variety of activities including practical life skills, creative play, reading, and group learning, all within a calm and nurturing setting that promotes focus, collaboration, and personal growth.
