About Us

Woods

Ladybird Montessori School has been nurturing young learners since 1990 from its welcoming setting in Highgate, a peaceful residential area between Hampstead and Highgate Village. With convenient parking and a secluded garden and forest children enjoy a calm environment where outdoor play, nature, and environmental learning are part of everyday life.

We aim to create a caring, safe, and stimulating atmosphere for children from 2-5 years old.  Children can learn confidently and develop at their own pace. Respect for every child’s racial, religious, cultural, and linguistic background is central to our approach.

Meet Our Educators

We are fortunate to have dedicated staff members who are passionate about delivering the Montessori philosophy. Our teachers are fully qualified, friendly and approachable.

They are especially trained to respond to the needs of each child and to direct the whole group. The teachers observe the children’s work (progress) and introduce new challenges based on individual needs, interests and stage of development.

What Parents Say

“Emilia has had a wonderful experience at Ladybird. The environment is extremely caring, nurturing, and welcoming, which made it easy for our child to settle in and feel comfortable from the beginning. The staff create a warm atmosphere where children feel supported and valued every day.

The nursery offers a fantastic range of engaging activities and the forest school is amazing! It is hard to find such an amazing space in London and we are so lucky to have this!

Emilia is always very happy and excited to go into nursery each day, which speaks volumes about the positive environment the team has created. Communication with parents is also excellent. The staff regularly share updates and are always approachable, ensuring we feel informed and involved in our child’s development.

We are very grateful for the care, dedication, and enthusiasm from team at Ladybird”
